Frequently Asked Questions
-
No, the priority flash is applied to your file and not any one specific claim or appeal. However, if it has been a few years, you can again make a VERA appointment to check if the flash is still there.
-
In short, priority processing helps you get before a rater or a judge faster. It will NOT inherently make gathering evidence for your claim faster. Meaning, if your claim is being bogged down by record gathering, the priority marker may not do much for you till you get in the line for the rater/judge.
-
No - There is no hierarchy to priority cases*.
*except in the case of those diagnosed with ALS.
